Requirements
Cabin runs on iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 14 or later with iOS 26 or later. It needs either Apple Intelligence or at least 6 GB of memory. Larger models need iPhone 15 Pro or later. No account or sign-in is required, and once a model is downloaded, no internet connection either.

What is Cabin?
Cabin is an AI that lives on your iPhone. You can ask questions, write, plan, and show it photos, and it answers using AI models that run entirely on your device, not in the cloud. It works with no signal at all, even in Airplane Mode.
Does Cabin send my chats anywhere?
No. Your chats and photos stay on your iPhone. Cabin has no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no analytics. The only time it goes online is to download a model you asked for, from Hugging Face. You can read the full privacy policy for the details.
Which iPhones does Cabin work on?
iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 14 or later, running iOS 26 or later. Because the AI runs on your iPhone, it needs either Apple Intelligence or at least 6 GB of memory. On an iPhone that can’t run it, Cabin tells you straight away, before anything downloads.
The built-in model isn’t available. What do I do?
The built-in model is Apple’s on-device model, so it needs Apple Intelligence turned on. Go to Settings › Apple Intelligence & Siri and switch it on; iOS may need a little time to finish setting it up. If your iPhone doesn’t support Apple Intelligence, Cabin starts with Qwen Mini (about 1.75 GB) instead.
Why can’t I see every model?
Cabin only offers models your iPhone can comfortably run. Larger models like Qwen, Gemma, and Ministral need iPhone 15 Pro or later, so on older iPhones you’ll see fewer choices. To see the ones that are too big for your iPhone as well, turn on “Show all models” in Settings.
How much space do models take?
Each model is a few gigabytes. Settings shows how much space your models use, and you can delete one from the Models tab, or all of them from Settings, to free up room. To avoid using mobile data, turn on “Download on Wi-Fi only” in Settings.
A download stopped. How do I finish it?
Downloads carry on in the background and resume where they left off. If one stops, check that you have enough free storage and a connection (or Wi-Fi, if you’ve limited downloads to Wi-Fi), then open Cabin and tap the model again.
How do I export or delete my chats?
Swipe a chat to delete it, or use Settings › Your data to export every chat or delete them all at once. You can also choose to keep chats forever, or for 30 or 7 days. Deleting a chat also deletes its photos.
How do I get help or report a bug?
Email hello@polenworks.com. Please include your iPhone model, iOS version, which model you were chatting with, and a short description of what happened. We aim to reply within a couple of business days.
