Privacy Policy

Pitaia is a macOS application developed and published by POLEN WORKS, UNIPESSOAL LDA, a company registered in Portugal (the “data controller” for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, where applicable). You can reach us at privacy@polenworks.com.

None. Pitaia does not collect, store, or transmit personal data. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, no usage analytics, no advertising identifiers, and no crash or telemetry reporting built into the app.

The photos, videos, and audio you open in Pitaia are processed locally on your Mac to perform the task you requested (for example trimming a clip, extracting frames, cropping, converting a format, or editing audio). These files are never uploaded to us or to any third party.

Exported results are saved only where you choose to save them, and any temporary working files the app creates during processing are stored on your device and cleaned up by the app or your operating system. The app runs inside Apple’s App Sandbox and can only access the files you explicitly open or save.

Pitaia does not embed third-party SDKs that collect data, and it does not make network requests in the course of normal use. Media processing is performed on-device, including by a bundled copy of FFmpeg used locally for encoding and decoding.

Pitaia is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children.

Since your content never leaves your device through Pitaia, it is protected by the security of your own Mac. We hold no personal data about you on our servers, so there is nothing for us to lose or expose.

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a company holds about you. Because Pitaia collects and stores no personal data, we hold nothing to provide, change, or erase. If we change how Pitaia handles data, we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.

This policy is published on polenworks.com. The website uses privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights) to measure aggregate traffic and performance; this is separate from the Pitaia app, which contains no analytics.
